Collaborations and Memberships

Collaboration is vital to reduce the impact of the fashion industry on the planet and to slow down climate change

OTB adheres to voluntary initiatives to promote and accelerate the necessary transition for a more responsible fashion industry and to fight climate change

Promoting a more responsible business approach

We recognise the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration to develop a more responsible fashion industry. We need to act together to allow the Fashion System to progress and evolve in this direction.

Collaboration in the Fashion Industry

To face the current and future challenges of the fashion industry, a tight collaboration among all the players along the entire value chain and the industry peers is needed, thus promoting innovation and responsible practices.

In this context, we adhere to voluntary initiatives and organisations to promote a sustainable and coherent development path aiming at ensuring the necessary transition to fight climate change.

In 2021, the OTB Group and its brands joined the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Foundation, an initiative promoted by the ZDHC organisation to reduce and eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals in the textile, clothing and footwear industry.

In this context, OTB is committed to phasing out hazardous chemicals from the entire products life cycle to protect the environment, factory workers and end consumers, in line with international regulations and the Group's environmental guidelines.

Since 2022, OTB has adopted a Restricted Substances List (RSL) & Product Safety Requirements (PSR) to regulate the management of chemicals for all the Group’s companies. The document, which is revised annually, supplements the regulatory restrictions for global markets on chemicals used in manufacturing with more stringent requirements and standards, such as the latest guidelines of the ZDHC Manufacturing RSL.
