How OTB came into existence. This is our history

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in 1978, and his vision led to the creation of a «Made in Italy» hub of luxury brands and businesses

Brave story

After creating Diesel in 1978, Renzo Rosso acquired complete control of the brand in 1985, surrounding himself with an international team of designers, and turning Diesel into a global icon.

Renzo Rosso acquired complete control of the Diesel brand

2000

The Group acquired Staff International, a «Made in Italy» stronghold that develops, produces, and distributes licensed brands

2002

The foundation of the OTB Group as a holding company for Diesel and future acquisitions of fashion houses. In the same year, Renzo Rosso became the majority shareholder of Maison Margiela

2006

The Group acquired full control of the Maison Margiela brand. The OTB Foundation was created as the non-profit organization of the Group

2008

Only The Brave acquired a majority stake in Viktor&Rolf

2011

Brave Kid, a company focused on the production and distribution of childrenswear, has been founded

2013

OTB invested in the Milan-based luxury house Marni, known for its edgy and quirky aesthetic

2015

The Group took full control of Marni

2019

OTB takes an investment in L.A. brand Amiri

2021

The Group further expanded its portfolio acquiring the luxury house Jil Sander, and joined the AURA Blockchain Consortium as a founding member.

Brave Virtual Xperience, the new center of excellence of OTB to develop content, products and experiences for the Metaverse, has been established

2022

Together with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, we promoted the creation of the Re.Crea Consortium, and joined The Fashion Pact
