気候変動対策は全地球的課題
ファッション産業は、温室効果ガス排出量がきわめて多いことから、世界でもっとも汚染の多い産業の一つになっています。この状況において、OTBグループはファッション産業に起因する環境負荷の低減を目指し、また気候変動対策に貢献するClimate Plan（気候変動計画）とそれに関連する戦略的活動を策定しました。
はじめに
気候変動に挑むOTBグループのイニシアチブ
気候変動問題は、政府にとっても企業にとっても、優先課題となっており、両者ともそれにかかわる原因やそれによって受ける影響の追求に現在も取り組んでいます。
このためOTBグループは、2050年までに温室効果ガス排出量をゼロにする具体的な目標を定めた「Climate Plan」を策定し、独自の脱炭素戦略に取り組んでいます。
SBTi
SBTiの呼びかけに呼応するOTBグループの目標
OTBグループは、気候変動問題に取り組むなかで、Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)の行動喚起に応え2021年に“1.5°C scenario”（「1.5°Cシナリオ）に合わせた目標を設定したというコミットメントレター（実行意思表明書簡）を送付しています。そして2023年SBTiによって当グループの削減目標が検証されました。
