Sustainability
Responsible Management of Resources

OTB and its companies are committed to promoting a cultural change that extends beyond the organisation

We are acting to reduce the generation of waste, from both packaging and processed textile fibres, and to promote a responsible water stewardship and careful use of chemicals

OTB approach to waste management

In accordance with the Global Compliance Program, OTB monitors the risk of potential environmental crimes and works only with authorised transporters to ensure proper recovery and disposal of waste. For hazardous waste, it follows procedures in compliance with current legislation, while data collection and monitoring systems ensure the traceability of waste streams and correct segregation of materials.

Certifications for continuous commitment

In 2025, OTB and Staff International obtained ISO 14001 certification, a vital step in the consolidation of our sustainability commitment. The ISO 14001 certification represents the regulatory benchmark for companies that implement an environmental management system designed to manage environmental aspects, periodically audit compliance with legal requirements, and assess risks and opportunities. This result highlights the Group’s dedication to protecting the environment, preventing pollution and reducing energy and raw material consumption.

Waste Management Procedure

In line with the Waste Management Procedure published in 2024, the Group continued to make significant progress.
Separate waste collection was optimised, and specific channels were set up for fabric recovery, to promote the reuse and recycling of this valuable resource. A special prototype management system was also introduced, to separate this stream from other non-recyclable waste.

OTB commitment with ZDHC

OTB brands are committed to phasing out hazardous chemicals from the entire product life cycle to protect the environment, factory workers and end consumers, in line with international regulations and the Group's environmental guidelines.

In 2021, the Group joined the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) Foundation's Roadmap to Zero Programme to develop a water and chemical management strategy based on the leading industry standards for all suppliers that employ wet processes.

Moreover, since 2022, OTB has adopted a Restricted Substances List (RSL) & Product Safety Requirements (PSR) to regulate management of chemicals for all the companies in the Group.

The document supplements the regulatory restrictions on chemicals used in manufacturing with more stringent requirements and standards, such as the latest guidelines of the ZDHC Manufacturing RSL and other standards to ensure product safety.

Suppliers are required to subscribe to and sign the RSL as part of their onboarding process.

Brand Experience

In 2025, Diesel stepped up its efforts to raise customer awareness with the second instalment of the “Behind the Denim” mini-series, which highlights the quality controls applied to denim and explains garment care and maintenance for a longer life cycle. The brand also distributed Diesel Care-Dirty Tricks to its clients: advice on garment care, washing frequency and use of softeners at home, which is published in a special section on the website, along with an explanatory video. The information can also be found by scanning the QR code on every Diesel garment, which also provides details on the materials used and the low-impact treatments applied.

Safeguarding Biodiversity

We are drawing up an impacts analysis related to biodiversity to mitigate its effects along the entire value chain
